Her eyes stared into the mirror, two hallow blue orbs peering into the endless nothingness that was her own eyes. She bit down hard on her pale lip, her hands touching the soft white fabric that covered her hips and whole body. She let a faint smile show through as she let tears fall, streaks of salty liquid staining her pale cheeks.
Terra? A voice called from behind her and she looked up from her own eyes in the mirror to see her best friend standing behind her, her hand hovering inches from her shoulder. Whats going on sweetie? Her tanned hand finally came in contact with her friends cold white skin. Look at me.
Terra turned to look at her friend, her hair stuck to the streaks of dampness left on her cheeks. She looked down at the dress that she wore, slipping her feet out of the shoes and taking the flowers out of her hair. I was supposed to get to wear this. She said through tears, mascara staining her cheeks and the back of her hands as she rubbed it away. I was supposed to make one man happy for the rest of his life.
Its not your fault. She whispered, pulling her friend into a hug, though she wasnt being hugged back. Sweetie. He didnt want to leave you. He loved you. He couldnt have prevented that. She whispered, rocking back and forth.
I love him. She said quietly, pulling back and looking down at the wedding dress she wore. Not loved. I love him. I always will love him. I wanted to marry that man. She paused. And now hes gone.
